Commanders (Redskins) Salute

The first of its kind, Redskins Salute was developed to showcase year-round support and appreciation for military members and their families in the D.C. metro. As marketing manager for the Redskins, I oversaw the entire program, which ranged from weekly content management to numerous events throughout the season.

The largest events included a military combine and player chalk talk (sponsored by USAA), organizing a group of volunteers to support the Redskins Foundation's Harvest Days Food Drive, and most notably, the Salute to Service game.

For the Salute to Service game, I was responsible for a pre-game gathering, organizing senior leadership from various branches of the military for press, and assisting with the management of an on-field flag unfurling. The program was wildly successful in its first year (the year I managed it) and is still a pillar within the Commander's organization to this day.
